Tom,
Did you use the brake kit from the P1, or is it a totally new 330mm kit?

Cheers

V5-APS,

The dealer transferred the Alcons from the P1 over to the UK300...and they feel GREAT!

Gauges are via Lancasters of Sevenoaks - Subaru pod....unsure what the make is ...cost...Too too too much!!! circa £850.00 I think...

...and I know I could have got them cheaper elsewhere...but it was just easier sorting it all at the time of purchase

Cheers

Your WR Replica Spoiler, did it come with the car? If not where did you get it from and how much? I guess it'll fit onto a MY'98 wouldn't it?

I'm not a great fan of the new shape Impreza but yours is an exception

About time you let the unclean masses see the new car!

Must say that pictures do not do it justice, it is a great car, looks very nice, felt rather bad about parking the blackbeast near it to be honest

Plus the sound is something else, sounds a lot better than the standard MY01

Now all you need to do is get the stickers on it!

Looks great Tom.

But why get rid of the P1?? Insurance costs ?

Seriously, how's it compare to the P1?

Gregh...what a great idea....don't know why I hadn't thought of that !!!

Neil...had had the P1 since March 2000 and had put just short of 30,000 miles on it...and to be honest the deal that Lancasters offered me was too good to miss...plus I fancied a change and liked what I saw in the car...

Markus...there is nothing wrong with the Black Beast! ...They looked OK parked up next to each other...even if it was Pi$$ing it down with rain...

Gordon...the WR replica Spoiler came from

Like the spoiler , may look to get one when funds permit, although I must admit the UK300 one is starting to grow on me and Im sure I could spend the same money on something more useful.

Re colour coding of the light surrounds, I thought the whole point was that the black surrounds are meant to be replicas of the WRC car, and I think they look great.
I saw some painted ones on an ad on the subaru web site and IMHO thought they looked pants!! might as well be morettes.

Who said the MY01 isnt a great car??

Phil,

Already sold...sorry

MarkWRX...I agree entirely....the black lights are meant to replicate the WRC Subaru ones ...the comments (IMHO) were tongue in cheek ...weren't they Gregh ???

IMHO I prefer my lights to the Morette conversion...but each to their own...

As far as the spoiler goes...I also quite like it...and in the flesh it isn't that bad...however I personally prefer the WR replica one I've got...sort of finishes off the car...all we need now is the Roll Cage and to get it stickered up like the P1!!

Cheers Josh....well you can never be too careful...the razor wire helps keep sticky fingers away from the car....

All the best

Tom

Hey Gastro, long time no speaks...

Name change cos I'm stupid! Basically changed my email address @ home...then lost the password for Rum*....so tried to change it...and of course the new password gets sent to the old email address...now because I only ever seem to get junk mail on the home email address I had not set up any forwarding etc...so thought I'd change the name...

...I'll still answer to Rum*, Tom or anything else anyone cares to call me

(Oh and I'm vain...thought it would be good to have a name that matched the number plate )

Lovely looking mota

Who did your pimp tints, or did Lancasters arrange that as well ? Interested on what size the guages are, as wondering if I could squeeze 52mm Defis in there.

Nathan..

Nathan

Basically Lancasters arranged for all the mods to be fitted - so I'm not too sure who did the tints...

Maybe call Ian Francombe @ Lancasters as he was the one that arranged it..

As far as the dials are concerned...sorry..no idea, tho I will measure them later if you'd like.

Hi Tom

I've been hearing alot about you from Ian. My 300 is now fully de-catted but i don't think you would go for it because its not exactly within the warranty

I like your sports grill i was thinking about one of them along with Brembos, HID's and a ever growing list

Scott,
btw it would be nice to know the price of the grill if you know?

Nice job. Looks factory production quality rather than 3rd party mod. Well done.

Anybody ever seen anthracite OZ's on a MY01 yet?

Scott....you have mail

Simon, thanks for the comments - I have not seen the Anthracite wheels of a MY01...Dr Evil has Silver Oz 10 spokes (the same as the P1 and UK300) on his MY01 which look cool...there should be a pic of it somewhere, if you look back about 1 month...

Cheers

Bobafett

Looks very similar....has yours got the carbon fibre piece, or is it all painted....either way its a great spoiler...

Trouble is when I got rid of the P12 I swore that I would never get another car with a spoiler that blocks my rear view so much....then what do I do...???...I go and get a similar car with a similar spoiler!!! DOH!!!

It all painted no carbon fibre piece, that looks very cool by the way!

Know what you mean about it blocking your view, still looks the buisness on the MY01.

Richard,

Both Mossman and I will be going to the Cat again - and this time we will have that beer...

The car will be fully signwritten again...with the possibility opf one of Mike Pecks roll cages in it as well

Can't wait!!!

Tom
