As a fellow MY01 disliker
I think the lights are a major improvement...
Get it PPP'd, and the suspension lowered and it'll do

I like the silver as well.......

Gastro

PS - I'm going to see my doctor - 2 compliments on the MY01 in the same thread - OH DEAR !

I think the lights make it look too much like the old shape. Much prefer the design of the ones fitted to the UK300 and Prodrive WRC car.

We picked up two new MY01's last Saturday (red mica and blue/black mica), they pay their first visit to Pete this Saturday - on shopping list:

Brembo/AP brakes
Leda suspension
18" Speedlines (mine), 18" P1 alloys (Carolyn's) (both gold )plus S03's
Full decat exhaust/ITG filter
PIAA drive lamps (off our MY00's)
Morette's
Scoobysport rear wing
PPP - when available.....

18" P1 gold alloys and PPP not yet available - sidelined for bl00dy UK300's......

Phil,

Those lights look great, a huge improvement! Could you also post a picture with the lights off and maybe of the front from an angle?

How much extra did it cost to get them sprayed?

Cheers,

Tim.

How do the lights perform compared to the old ones.

The ones that come with the car may be ugly but they perform really well when blagging down a twisty B road at night.

Performance

Once they are adjusted correctly!

I had Osram +50% in my original lights

Morrettes out perform them

I have ordered +50% for the morrettes though so should be even better

I believe Pete has a HID version in his car

Can't afford that! Set of 18"s Oz's and PPP next on the shopping list

Phil

Cool

Tiggs

I picked up about the Osrams from IWOC

Everybody was raving about them

Have to say I saw a marked improvement when I switched

Bulb for the morrettes are H1's and H7's

Phil,

Cheers for those extra pics...

Can you re-post the 'fitted & sprayed' price? (I think it got obscured by your artistic shot ;-)

Regards,

Tim.

Thanks again Phil,

As for the cost, they look the 'dogs' so there defo worth it!

How long have you had your MY01? I’ve had mine a month tomorrow, and love every part of the car / driving experience (except those lights)

Tim.

Phil

I got my Morette's delivered from SS on Monday, but got a sinking feeling that they don't look like yours!! Will check tonight. AS for HID version - just ask anyone who was at Croft last Friday. We were all blinded by Mr Croney's HID set up (especially the driving lights ) from 1/4 mile away in the pit lane. . Very expensive but I will be saving up for the driving lights

You can't get it yet for MY01. Prodrive say August. As for where it can be done, I don't think thats been finalised yet. Prodrive obviously, but there was some talk of dealers possibly doing it. We're all waiting to see - join the queue
