Cool

Looks superb, specially in black - very cool.

Not sure about the wooden steering wheel though. Shouts flat cap, slippers and a pipe IMHO

Is it still a Momo one?

I suppose you're right but there again your fuel cost 50% of ours so you can make it up there.

Are the Australian WRXs the same spec as the Japanese models imported into the UK ?

Hi Marcus,
The price of wrx's in Aus are about $45500,new but for a second hand one you can get one from about $22000 for a 95 model.Insurance is getting harder to get, i pay about $2000 with 60% no claim bonus. but i have been quoted up to $5000. Yes insurance is a killer for the wrx here in Aus and by the sounds of it in the UK to.

I think we need a AUD$ to STG conversion here though.

A new WRX here costs AUD$41K at the moment. That's 13940 pounds sterling.

I bought my brand new MY00 (hate the MY01 but that's another story) for $44000 drive away including rego and everything this time last year. That's 14960 pounds.

Insurance just came in and it is AUD$1750, up from AUD$1450 last year, but it includes new mods which are lowered suspension and 17" wheels. That's 595 pounds sterling.

Petrol is around $1 per litre at the moment, which is 34p.

We probably get paid a lot less then people in England though!

BTW, they had a black one in the showroom when I was looking. Looked great but things that put me off were:

1. Didn't like the interior as I think the standard seats are a BIG feature as I like to go on the track and didn't fancy sliding into the passenger seat!
2. I have owned 3 black BMWs previously and I know what it takes to maintain them looking good.
3. I HAD to have WRC Blue. There's something about the colour that makes me feel happy when the sun shines on it. Hard to explain. Then again, you probably wouldn't have experienced this in the UK ;-)

What sort of coilovers are those ? Looks very nice indeed. Are they adjustable ? If so how many adjustments (beside height) ?

Sigmund,
these are not adjustable they are the 1 rate, but for the street they are very good and great for track use there are 5 different spring rate to choose from, the ones i have are sold as a sport racing package. Made by an Australian company Kingsprings.
