Hi Arron,
I had few cuts as my head went out the side window about 40 stiches. I had a tyre burst on the back and went off the road in the middle of a storm.I will post the bad pictures sometime this week these are the nice ones. Only had the car 3 days and this happens but lucky to be here as I could not get out the car at the time. The only thing that stayed in my car was my mobile in the car kit. Lucky I work for a mobile phone company I suppose, I rang all my friends first and they found me as I knew the ambulance wouldnt and I was right. I held my mobile out the window in the field and they saw the little light and got me.
Anyway whats happening about your car.
Rich

Rich - I remember you telling me about this but didn't imagine it had been that bad! Anyway, glad you made it out in one piece.
Are you pleased with the 18" rims? Does the handling feel much better?
I'm well chuffed with the OZs I got from
you.

Ouch, ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch OUCH!
Glad to hear that you're ok. That looks like a very nasty one to me. It's a good job that these things are strong!
Have you tried speaking to Mark Underwood? I think he may have a way to polish out the damage
In answer to the original question, I prefer the 18s.

Holy Bat Smoke RG....I thought my little incident with a tree was bad....you did that one well and proper!!!...Glad to hear you are all ok now and that the new motor has arrived...
...in answer to the question I prefer the 18's....just had them fitted to mine along with the brakes....luv'um to bits *S*
Obviously as and when the insurance comes up for renewal give me a shout and I'll try and sort a decent deal for you, quietly ignoring the above mentioned/shown incident

Hi Mark,
Glad you like your wheels, the 18in wheels are a great improvement. But I have had a lot of problems with pulling on the steering which is still there slightly.I personally would only have the car with the bigger tyres as I feel there is much more grip. But this may be a reaction to the accident as at first it takes a bit of time to gain your confidence back.I also found that the p zero tyres seem to work a lot better after about 1500 miles. When I changed to the 18s on the car it was starting to grip really nicely on 17s.
I also have a new front badge that I will post a picture of soon.

RG,
Yup, brakes are getting bedded in nicely....set off from Leeds this morning @ 07.30 for a meeting in Sandy, Bedfordshire....a quick 155 miles....couple of hours having the meeting then another 155 miles back to Leeds...managed to fit in a few of Mike Woods "60-30" brake tests...and a few of the "70-30" tests....brakes feeling a lot better now! ....also had ONE MAJOR emergency brake....85-circa 10mph in a nana second! courtesy of a rather large HGV pulling hard right to avoid some muppet white van man existing a parking spot....P1 RUM survived the experience thankfully...
Re the insurance...all 200+ owners on the scheme are thankful that you were not insured via us at the time of the incident...phew
