Nope, we don't leave him in the car at all, and he travels in the back (it's a wagon) behind the excellent Subaru dog guard.

Sam loves the Impreza, he spent most of last Sunday in there while we were doing an ICE install.

Not sure he'd be a great deterrent, but he's certainly ready to have a go at driving, he'll have to wait for the license though cos he's only 2.
