Not a bad evening. The usual rally simulators, remote controlled EVOs and raffles. They did auction many "spares" recovered from some offs. For some strange reason, unbeknown to me, they all seemed to once belong to a works Carisma

Tommi was "OK". He seemed a bit pi$$ed off to be there mixing with us riff-raff, as did Gronholm, Panizzi and Delecour on Tuesday.

Basically we just asked them to have their photo taken with us. There were no official opportunities and they certainly weren't going to offer.

I appreciate it must be a bit tedious doing these promotional evenings, but they get paid a lot of money for the driving they do.

They don't seem to realise that without us muppets there would be no rallying. No-one watching, enthusing, buying the merchandise, would mean no sponsorship etc, and hence no World Rally Championship.

OK, rant over , hopefully next time they will be a bit happier with the public.

By the way, it's not just luck . I had been invited to the Prodrive evening, Snake had been invited to the Peugot evening, the rest was a matter of putting two and two together and getting on the phone.

"Hello Mr. Mitsubishi Dealer - Are you holding a promotional event this week with the Rally coming to town?"...... etc.

Thats a real shame, he seems like such a nice chap. I suppose anyone can get pissed off if you get enough people shove a pen and paper under your nose

Picture number 2 is my favorite. The guy on the left looks like he's about to freak out and start killing people. The guy on the right... well he looks like my twin. That's a little strange. How tall are you? I'm a little over 6 feet 2 inches... or what ever that coverts to in metric.

The guy on the right is me. I am 6'6" though, but can't seem to see any resemblance to being your twin

What is strange though, is that I was in Austin in March this year. Great city - 6th Street was awesome.

Wow, that is strange. Austin is a great city. Loads of entertainment. I've lived here my whole life, so the novelty of all the live music and drinking establishments has worn off a little. Let me know if you're ever going to be back in Austin. I'll buy you a drink.
