Has anyone got any pictures of this Backbaox fitted?

Wanting to know if it comes out at an angle, also how loud the backbox only is compared to other backboxes such as Scoobysport, Afterburner etc.

Cheers

John

Mega,

ask tbmeech how loud it is, he spent a day with me in mine.

I loved it (though im 70% deaf in one ear) toby hated the booming it makes at 80mph+ and had a raging headache, horses for courses mate.

Cheers for the info

I like the look of the NUR, I think Jap backboxes look a better product, I know my HKS Hiper was anyway.

Surely these NUR's arn't that loud if the dp cat and resonator centre is fitted?

I've found a 2nd hand scoobypsort one for sale at a fair price, do I settle for that or do I pay double and a bit more for a new NUR?

From a deep burble flat 4 point of view I guess it's the 2nd option then

The BLitz NUR spec R exhaust cat back system is £472 + vat which works out about £550. If you call Woodford garage on 01803 863 958 which is £499 delivered to your door including vat. Its all money at the end of the day!

This is one seriously mint exhaust, got ours 12 months ago and not regreted it one bit. Yep, it is loud, very loud, but a gorgeous loud, and forget the bung, bung's are for girls. Even the missus loves it(the exhaust), she said if we get another scoob that exhaust is going on it, now thats enthusiasm for ya
Here's some piccies of ours....

How comes your aint got the writing on the side?
(Prefer it like that by the way )

Is your a full decat or do you have a front/mid cat?

I'm after someone that's just got the backbox fixed to a standard system to see how loud it is, everyone seems to have gone the whole hog though..

Noticed there seems to be a few of these systems coming up for sale 2nd hand over the last few weeks....

And ive only had it for 5 days! lol

John,

Simon aka P1Fanatic has the NurSpec back box on its own IIRC.

mega_stream - as Ian says I have just the backbox fitted with everything else standard. Still pretty loud IMHO but Ive got used to it now.

It still makes kids cry in multi-storey carparks and its very easy to set off other cars alarms

I have a soundbite somewhere but it aint too good. If ur anywhere near Cambridge feel free to come have a listen. Or Im driving to Cornwall on Weds via M6/M5 so if ur anywhere near there I might be able to drop in.

Cheers, I'm in Kent I'll keep my ears open I may hear you then

So when you say its loud, what's it like at tickover?, both inside and outside the car?

My old car with a decat HKS Hiper used to be too loud at times, idle was very loud, acceleration noise sometimes became almost annoying. I take it its gonna be no-where near that loud.

Ideally I would like a Jap looking backbox with the finish and big tailpipe and something that amplifies the flat-4 off beat burble.

EEEEEEK if thats the case then avoid the nur spec mega, i disnt realise you found the hiper to loud! I find it to quiet...

The nur spec dues to its totally stainless construction actually works like strapping a trumpet under your car and amplifies noise coming out of the end, it also BOOOMS in the rear of your car. Put it this way, when bob was mapping my car toby and i could not tell what he was saying, or what each other was saying when i was running the nur spec.
