The engine has been forged, closed decked and has the 14mm head stud conversion, Andy Williams did the build. It's currently running 436bhp with 505 Nm of torque. The build is below, the turbo is an SC46, HKS downpipe, uprated fuel pump, Cobra sport cat back exhaust system, ive probably missed a few smaller things.

Thanks for that Ross, i'll message you on messenger once Alyn has had a chance to look at the car just so you know what the issue was.. The one i posted above was one i originally viewed, the sale fell through due to the DVLA but literally the day after i bought your the seller phoned me saying everything was fine now and would i still be interested, it's already forged and partially modified so it was originally the sort of base car i was looking for, so after not being able to find one in blue for around 9 months, i now have 2 lol.

It’s just a case of whether there is internal damage and to what extent (for everyone else’s knowledge).
I’ve been quiet on here up to now as between this and the R205 I’ve got Torque GT selling for me, I’m taking an £11-12k bath on the pair of them. Not in the best of moods about it.
Hopefully your ownership of 2 hatches will be a better financial experience than mine

Yeh it does mate, its a UK 2.5 so has the unequal length headers, the exhaust is a Cobra Sport with a HKS down pipe and its had a decat so it's a fairly loud as well, but a nice loud. My fuuture plans are to take the car to AS Performance and take it to the next stage. I would think i'll change the turbo as it's got an SC46 which is a big turbo and is quite laggy, i'll leave that to Alyn to advise me on the best direction to go in to get more torque, bhp figures don't really interest me, i'm just after getting as much torque as i can with it still being as reliable as it can be.

I've giving it a thorough clean and fitting a few bits, i should hopefully be picking up a Force Performance Black turbo for it on tuesday to replace the SC46.

I won't be going upto 640bhp, its like with anything, any engine, turbo or mechanical part can fail, your just really unlucky if it does. Was his turbo not inside the warranty ? I'll be aiming for somewhere between 500 - 600bhp, its the torque figures that interest me more than bhp

I'll just do a quick update, since i posted the original thread ive changed a few minor things like different coloured Perrin engine dress parts, its had a new Mishimoto cone filter as the previous one which the last owner had it had seen better days. I've also had the car mapped by Bob Rawle so a new 3 port boost solenoid was fitted, i was really happy with the changes that Bob made, it now drives a lot better, previously it felt laggy to drive, more laggy than it should be but i guess that was down to the previous map the car had, ive quickly learnt that a good map is one of the best bits of money that you can spend on your car.
It's going for a full service soon at Chevron, all the fluids will be changed along with the plugs and filters etc, so with a map and a full service it's a good starting point with a new car, esp a scooby. I'm hoping that i can have a few things fitted when the car is in for service like an oil baffle plate, a new upgraded oil pickup pipe and an AOS, while the oil is being drained it would be a good time to get them done if Chevron can fit it in with my service. After that in January/Feb i'm hoping to have the new turbo fitted along with 1050 injectors and a new 80mm induction system which Simon is going to fabricate, it's the same as what they use on their own cars. Right i better get off now and go and do a bit of busking to pay for it all ....... A couple of recent pics below, ive not taken many pics really

I would choose TDR over Chevron all day long.
Have nothing to Simon he is nice but they charge per hour
Tdr owner is good and super quick, different league in my experience.
Seen ICP-fuji racing makes and sells baffle plates and oil pick up pipes.

It's just trying to be different and putting my own stamp on the car, their are not many scoobies in this country that run a FP turbo, in the US as you say they are quite big on FP, i'll also be having my own induction fabricated to try and get the most from the turbo, it will be an 80mm one.
