Default My 2004 Forester STI

Hi all,
Just a post to share the FSTI I picked up a couple of weeks ago from Torque GT

Previously owned the below Hawkeye WRX about 5 years ago, was a brilliant car and I always regretted selling it to be honest.

So 5 years, various cars and 2 kids later I kept finding myself looking at the Forester STI.
I'd always loved how they look & how uncommon they are and of course how brilliantly practical they are for a family. I never did enjoy any of the more modern car's I'd has since my Hawkeye as much, great cars but just lacking much feel and involvement.

So I sold my 9 month old Octavia VRS245 DSG and bought this cracking example from Torque GT. I paid a little extra and got Torque GT to give it an enhanced underseal treatment with cavity wax and so on and flew down from Glasgow to pick it up a couple of weeks ago.

Imported in May 2015 on 42,000 miles, now on just 49,000 miles!
BC Coilovers
Apexi axle-back exhaust
Legacy Tuned by STI Enkei wheels
Cusco front and rear strut braces
HKS mushroom intake
Pioneer head unit with DAB, reverse camera, subwoofer and so on.

Testament to the previous owner (who imported it), it's immaculate!

So a few things done/planned
  • Wheels being changed for Prodrive GC-010E 8J ET43 which have just arrived from Japan
  • Prodrive downpipe, 2nd decat and centre pipe bought (to be fitted)
  • BC coilovers need looking at, getting some knocking from the front end, need to be taken off and stripped down to find out what's going on, they've only covered 7k miles!
  • Newer head unit with carplay fitted yesterday
  • HKS mushroom will be replaced with another intake or standard airbox with panel filter
  • New discs and pads all round, Brembo coated high carbon discs (always use these) and PFZ pads
  • Fuel pump
  • STI gauge pack in double din dash pod
  • Remap (Andy Forrest if I can get hold of him!)
Really that's about it, other than that I think it's a pretty well sorted car already and I'd like to keep it as original looking as possible, I really think good examples of these will be worth a lot more than they're currently going for in the next few years.

I'll update this as I go.

Cheers!

It looks like a very nice, well cared for example!
Enjoy it, they are fantastic all round cars.
I like the Legacy wheels but it will look even better with the GC-010s.

Cars looks spot on fella. To be honest both sets of wheels suit so you're now spoilt for choice. They are great cars, saw this when I was picking up my facelift and it did make me wonder if I'd bought the right one! Glad you're enjoying it.
I've got a couple of bits I need to sort on mine to get it up to a standard I'm happy with silly bits like wheel refurb, contemplating a new set but not looking for after market. Cracking cars though and definitely have it mapped, mine made 325bhp and 335lb with a decat downpipe, panel filter, uprated fuel pump.
