Default Evo VI Track Day

Ok, it's not a Subaru, but finally took the Evo on a track day last week.

Went fantastic, very impressed with it, just need some stickier tyres next time and some new brake discs.

That's way too clean for track. Good to see it getting abused though instead of a show queen.
Hope you had relevant insurance cover hahaha

Made a nice change to actually use and abuse it, rather than just polish it!

Goes surprisingly well for a mildly modified car.

You'll need plent of autoglym tar remover and clay bar on your next polish day Gary

It had so much polish and wax on it that nothing stuck to it

Looks great mate!! Always been a big fan of the 6! Would you say an evo is worth the extra budget over a scooby? Haven't to driven one to be fair though.

Tom
Owned over the years a Evo 6 GSR a Evo 6 RSX and a Evo 7 GSR, and 8 Impreza's(STi's and 1x WRX unfortunately). I find the Evo handles much better then the Subaru even standard the Evo handles better then a Impreza STi with suspension mods.

I find the power delivery on a Evo smooth compared to the Impreza, The Impreza you get that turbo push back in the seat feeling where as the Evo just accelerates and doesn't give you that sense of it going fast until you look at the speedo and realize your going very fast.

I just find Evo's a bit boring personally, Where as the Impreza feels a bit more loose and a bit more of a handful(especially a classic STi) where as the Evo feels more safe and more capable then you can ever push the car, on paper the Evo probably is the better car, but I just prefer the Impreza, Some people go to the darkside and say they will never own another Impreza where as some(me included) go over to the darkside and prefer the Impreza(took me 3 Evo's to realize I like the Impreza more).
