2007 jdm sti a line
Ok one of my first mod's was air filter although a panel filter would be fine I wanted the most for future tuning but also a stock look so went for the k&n typhoon to match the inlet manifold.

As you can see in the pic the maf housing is still in place but the wiring cap and all the inside parts have been removed as the car now runs a mafless carberry rom. (more on that later)
Here's the full engine bay pic

With the a line notice the large sti intercooler (slight cut out at top) but with ic spray to the right of the cooler (like bugeye jdm's ) not in boot like spec c.
Also my coilovers fitted (again more on those later).

Yes and thanks, it's 45a urban grey paint, the interior condition is a credit to its Japanese owner.
Did have the standard sti wheels too but sold them on
agree it is the design why they look small but they are 17" genuine prodrive made by Rays very light with genuine Ray's lightweight nuts too. Maybe I will look into a deal with some one for 18"s at some point.

Ok it's been a while so thought I would update with my suspension changes, with my original thinking for the car I was going down the mostly track route.
So went straight from the standard sti shocks n springs ......

To these hks hipermax coilovers.....

However a change in plans due to a diff car and the curved ball of the a line I have decided to use this as a road car. And now fitted service'd kyb's with tein s tech springs...

Imo the coilovers are great if you have the roads for them or do lot of track but local roads I was giving up to much comfort, with coilovers you deffo get what you pay for IMO there is always a reason why one set costs well over 1k and others are a few hundred £s. The hks were very good with lots of adj but I'm thinking ott on a daily drive car .
On the flip side the ome sti setup is quite bouncy/soft. I have opted for the kyb's/tein springs and will feedback Once I've done a few miles maybe the right move or maybe I will regret giving up the coilovers??
Next will be looking at a wheel swap for 18"s as I'm thinking these lightweight 17" are more suited to track??
