2015 STi WRX Fender Flares / Wide Arches....HT Autos
Started to prep 2015 Subaru STi WRX to make the fender flares. We 1st need to make a fibreglass casting of the arches so we know the flares will be perfect fit. Final product will be made in Polyurethane.
All arches of Subaru STi WRX 2015 are now splashed and prepped. Hopefully tomorrow we can start to modify the Subaru 2011 STi WRX fender flares
Think we will go a little LARGER

Cut the Subaru 2015 STi WRX splashes into rough shape required.
Then placed 2011 Subaru STi WRX fender flares onto the 2015 arch splashes and bonded in place.
Notice how much larger the Subaru 2015 STi WRX Fender Flares will be compared with the 2011's.
Started to get some shape into it smile emoticon

Got one side of the Subaru 2015 STi WRX fender flare to nearly where were happy with it. Now for the laborious task of making a mirror image for the other side

It scares me when companies come on this website and can't even get there English right.
FENDER! is an American term, anyone that knows anything about cars knows this, we are in the UK where we call them wings and wheel arches. So either wing flares or Arch flares would be correct. THe most common term is wide arch kit.

FENDER! is an American term, anyone that knows anything about cars knows this, we are in the UK where we call them wings and wheel arches. So either wing flares or Arch flares would be correct. THe most common term is wide arch kit.

Considering how quiet the forum is compared to a few years ago discouraging this purely on the basis of how a product is described really is trivial.
I can't see why anyone with a brand new road car would be wanting to invalidate warranty by butchering their panels to fit these.
At least if it were a replacement front wing like in the 22B style wide arch kit it should be a case of unbolting front wings and storing them etc. Still then there is the rear to imaginatively overcome.

I agree with below.
I appreciate your posts on here HT Autos, as I am interested in the development process as well as the parts you produce, which, speaking from experience, are of excellent quality.
Some people are too quick to criticise, & aren't looking ahead, as the parts you are developing for that car today are the parts we will be looking for a few years down the line, when the car becomes more affordable.

True! Its just we have had a number of traders coming on here advertising there products but using American terms like Hood and Rotors etc
It just winds me up, as it comes across as if they know nothing abouts cars in general. EXCLUDING this company, as they have put the correct term. I apologize if my words seem harsh, but considering the low level USA members its not worth the use of the phrase fenders.

Personally I reckon that should look pretty mean once they're colour coded, wasn't a fan of the current STi originally but that looks pretty good. Have to ask though, is there any plan to do anything with where the arch meets the rear bumper?

The reason why we use American terminology is that over 60% of our sales are from the States. This thread is also running on NASIOC. There are more countries that use the term 'fender' rather than 'wing', so we have to optimise for Google for people to find our products Worldwide. A wing is a rear spoiler in the States.

Agreed. Scoobynet should think itself lucky that companies like HT Autos bother to engage with their customers on this sort of level, as a lot of companies out there don't bother (and I can see why tbh).

We not 100% sure on the rear arches yet
, but kinda looks funky in the flesh the way they are?

I'd have said it wants to come down too blend into the corners of the rear diffuser tbh. Good start though, the new gen cars definitely need something to give a bit more shape around the arches.
