Default Subaru Impreza Rally Car

Hi,

I've been on this forum for a while but never actually posted as I spend all my time in the classified sections.

I'm Dean and some of you know or have met me and my car already as it's kinda "unique" in colour and I use it in various events throughout the UK. It's a version 1 Type RA, and I've owned it a couple of years and it's changed dramatically from the first day of ownership to now.

I've been using the car and getting a reputation for my enthusiastic style as I gain experience with the car. I've done events in Scotland, England and my favourite Wales.

My future plans are to use the car, all going to plan, for Rally Iceland later this year so the car is being prepared now for that event. I'm hoping to be out for the Cambrian Rally in Wales too and in between I'll be doing single venue airfield type events.

Anyway I thought I'd share, a few pictures...just one or two :-P

Anyway hello all

What a belter! I reply really like this.
Seen it over on type RA

Ironing board spoiler looks the best with the smaller gravel wheels!

Thanks everyone...is the sideways bit obvious!! I love the hydraulic handbrake, I should have got into EDC and BDC in a Silvia

As I say some of you already know my car, some very well.

I've been on here a long time but only signed up to buy a car initially a few years ago, then from there I read from time to time

By any chance you were at Rallyday? You may have seen my car? I'm sure I was one car behind you going onto the circuit...I came off after two laps and headed straight for clubmans stage

Yes I was at rally day , did one track session and one clubman stage .

Had gearbox issues I've been trying to sort for a while , it's right now , did a single venue rally 2 weeks ago in Dale which I won , had a good day and learnt a lot about the car now it's right

Got incar from one of the stages nsfw as there quite a bit of swearing so if offended don't watch it.
Had my service guy navigating for me as a thank you for helping out through the year , he'd never rallied before and was getting good through the day

Cheers Ian

That is one seriously quick Impreza! I assume that it is a 2.5L engine? Are you running a 32mm Restrictor??

Wow this car looks superb and certainly looks like you've had great fun! How would you get into the rallying?

Hey, what do you want to know, ask any question and I'll try and help.

Also, anyone going to Rallyday 2015 next weekend keep an eye out for my car...it has my social media hashtag as a livery, I doubt you'll miss my car as it's possibly going to be the only orange Impreza there next weekend :-)

Needs a few bits to complete readiness for rally day
