MY05 Widetrack STI

MY05 Widetrack STI
Well after selling up last year to fund a house and having a brief fling with a VXR8 I'm happy to say I'm back, this time in a Widetrack.
As I know these are becoming more and more expensive by the day I think I was rather lucky to track down a sub 40k mile car with full service history and more importantly the power was standard all be it with a PPP.
The previous owner had spent a fair bit on handling modifications with BC coilovers, stiffer front and rear ARBS, CDF drop links, ALK, bump steer kit and Yokohama Advans all around. He had also just had the wheel stripped and repainted in the gun metal colour, which I have to say I much prefer to the gold.
As you can imagine the interior is in mint condition with no sign of wear anywhere. The outside is also in great condition with the usual odd front bumper stone chipping, which for the time being can stay.
In its previous life it had also been lavished with a RCM rear spoiler vein kit, which I believe are pretty pricey bits of kit. I didn't think I would like it but actually its grown on me, I had imagined it to be something similar to the rep wrc spoilers you can get that hang out over the end of the boot, but this fits nicely in to the oem one, can even be removed if I have enough of it.
Plans for the car, well at the moment I'm chuffed with how it goes and especailly how it handles. At a recent trackday at Cadwell Park the car felt like it was on rails, and when you got to the limit of grip it was very forgiving and easy to come back to you. The only criticism I would have is it felt a bit slow coming on to boost and on the long straights it lacked a bit of top end speed. I might possibly get a remap in the future as I know the PPP maps are very conservative.
Anyway, few pics below including some of the recent trackday
Also a few vids of the day in the driving dynamics section
