Default New Toy in the Garage Today :D

Hi Everyone this is my first thread here today and wanted to share something special with you all. I am from sunny Cyprus and a JDM fan.

I have few favorites of JDM world. Evo VI Tommi Makinen in Red as the original car. Nissan Silvia S15R, Toyota Supra and off course a very special Subaru

I have recently started buying my favorite JDM cars and bought a very special S15 which was a Japanese import in totally stock form and the car being stripped down totally and built as a drift spec road going 400+HP weapon by a friend who is JDM tuner. Secondly i was for a hunt on a Evo VI Tommi Makinen in Red with no mods and in mint condition and found one after a few months search. It was owned by this JDM importer of cars but he had few special cars in his stock but for himself only. He was into collecting. Went to visit him today to see the Evo VI Tommi Mak and in the garage i spotted something very special. A mint 22B with a 44000KM on the ODO with no mods at all and directly fell in Love The only mod on the car was the front badge being replaced with a black Subaru badge. I was like why would anyone change this badge and he just opened the glove box and said here it is for you to replace it back to original He said it came to him from Japan like that in the glove box but as he never drives the car he did not replace it.

The car has a special plate on it to so double jackpot for me. The plate on the car was MY 22B a very happy man today

The guy was after selling his cars due to being not able to use them and business not running very well and persuaded him to sell me the 22B. My next hunt is definitely on the Tommi but could only afford the 22B for the time being and being a much more valuable buy definitely went for that.

As i was searching for the 22B on UK market i could see that you could not get one below 40K and the money i payyed for it was much lower than that

Cheers for reading. Will take it to the Subaru dealer here in Cyprus as the car has not been used for more than a year. It will have all the necessary TLC done to it and get it on the road for some enjoyment of driving

Cheers for reading

You need to upload them to a hosting site like photobucket.

Congrats, sounds awesome!

There was a nice article on pistonheads about the 22b recently.

Pictures will come after it has been valeted and detailed. I don't usually sell my cars so price does not matter but got a very good deal if i have to say and a free number plate registration with the sale, MY 22B

around 25000miles on the ODO but reads in KM being a direct Japanese import.

Interesting to see what sort of price you paid for it. I sold mine 2 months ago now for a very good price-but it wasn't standard.

The car was imported to Cyprus 8 years ago and has not been used for more than few hundred KM as i checked the import documents and compered the Milage. Today i picked the car up but did not want to drive it much so i took it to a specialist as it has been sitting for more than a year for a full service and check up. The car just needs some attention as it has few small dents and scratches in the front bumper which i don't really want to touch to keep its originality. It will have a full service and detailing so it blooms like a flower than decide if needed to be painted or anything.

Hello Everyone and Good Morning

As i promised 22B after detailing. I have changed the tyres on the car as the old ones were bit too old and put spacer to give the car a fuller look. Enjoy

The photos were taken by my phone so they might not do the full justice but still much better than before

Cheers.

Wow! Looks brand new! Looks like a totally different car from the last pictures!

Love the RE070s. What size are they? I'm guessing 235/45R17? The original size is 235/40R17. I'm guessing you couldn't find something suitable in the original size?

Actually they are 225/45R17. I went for semi slick which there are not many choices out there, so used these but with the spacers they seem to look spot on. I don't drive the car much as it is a weekend toy when i have time and only on sunny but dry days
