Default Moley's New Car (Non-Subaru)

After 10 years of Impreza ownership i thought it was time for a change.

I sold the Impreza and spoke to SVA about importing an Evo VI from Japan. Lots of the UK cars have big rust problems, so only wanted a fresh import.

After a pretty long wait (the world needs quicker ships!) the Evo arrived at SVA about two weeks ago.

I've been down and had a good look at it, especially underneath after all the horror stories about Evo's rusting, and I was very very impressed with it.

I'm just waiting for it to be registered. During that time SVA are undersealing it, service including belts, mot, tax, changing the lash adjusters (tappets) and a few other tiny things that I've forgotten.

Might be having it lowered before I pick it up, that's TBC.

I've already got a pile of parts stacking up. Nothing performance yet, just some bits to tidy it up and make it completely mint. (New decals, rubber trim etc)

The only mod on the car is a Ralliart exhaust, apart from that it's completely standard.

Should be picking it up when I get back from holiday on the 27th.

Few pics of it.....

Once it's left it takes about 6-7 weeks, plus time in customs.

The other model is the RS, which is the same as a RA (no aircon, windy windows, no ABS)... and i like my creature comforts!

Awesome motor Moley. No hatred from me!

I think the VI is the best looking of the Evos, and probably the one that will end up being cherished most in years to come.

Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for it

I'd read good things and bad things about them, but I know all too well that for every 20 happy customers only one will write something good on the internet, but if just one gets bad service it's guaranteed they'll write about it.

Therefore I went down there to see them in person and judge for myself, and I have to say they have been excellent. The quality of the cars speak for themselves, but they are also a great bunch of guys down there, so was more than happy to use them.

They also give a years parts and labour warranty, but I hope I don't ever need to use that.

Fair enough mate, was speaking with torque gt at one point regarding bringing a foz sti over but decided to buy a hawk. Always found their prices to be a little high although if the stock is good then that would explain it.

Hope you enjoy it bud

The prices over in Japan seem to be pretty steep at the moment.
