Default my WRX

Hi guys, im not new to the forum, I was here before with a yellow sport special. But now im back with this WRX. Its not in the best nick, a couple of parking dings here and there but hey, its twelve years old. Ive got a few plans for her, nothing major, just a change of wheels, a bit of paint where its needed, and a couple of interior bits. Power output, ive been told, is 305bhp, so no need for anymore......ive got 3 kids so cant drive it that fast.
any comments welcome

The only reason I want to change the wheels is because I don't feel like the car is mine until ive changed something. I bought it as it is now. It seems like everybody has rotas, and I don't like to follow the crowd too closely. So ill be going with some motorsport style wheels in gold

So a little update, ive swapped the rota's for some redlines, and basically de-sti'd the whole car except for the spoiler and sideskirts. I will be putting the straight wrx skirts on at some point once they've been painted. I know I said I don't like to follow the crowd, but I love these wheels, and I like the way the car looks now.

so here's how she looks now

It's nice but to be brutally honest I liked how it originally looked, that splitter and pink bits made it look mean...still a lovely car though

When the bugs were first release I thought they were ugly, but they have grown on me. This one with morette headlamps would be really nice. Looks good as it btw.

A step backwards imo - the splitter made the front end and I think the rotas are a nicer wheel... gold wheels don't look good on a silver car.

Not trying to make it something its not and tastefully making it your own.

That's your opinion pal, fair enough. I think it looks cleaner this way, all the STI bits just made it look a bit OTT for my liking. Im not really one for the whole, "scene" stanced look.

+1 as nice as rotas are theres to many, and you want it to look like yours not the last owners.

So yesterday some new front discs and pads arrived, so I set about fitting them. I got some M-tec discs and mintex pads as I eventually want to upgrade to some brembos and as I don't have a spare £600ish, these would do for now. Its suprising I had any braking at all on the O/S, tbh im surprised they were allowed to pass the MOT at the end of april as the car has only done 2k since then. While I was at it, decided to give the calliper a bit of refresh, so cleaned all the crap off them and gave them a couple coats of gold.
anyways heres some pics

and all fitted and some paint
