Default My weekend/summer MY00 Classic

I bought this last December after searching around for a while for a low mile minter to use as a weekend/dry weather car (not easy with with scoobs these days)...Anyway after a few leads on scoobyireland the deal was done and its pretty much been parked up ever since as i didn't want to use it on salty roads. Its one of the last made in December 2000 with a genuine 47k miles and has been pampered by its previous owners.

So far i've had the following done.
Refurb'd brakes due to a seized piston
New Brake fluid
Fitted 17" Speedline ST2's
New rear Sachs dampers
Tein springs
Oil change
Fully undersealed
Fitted turbo back prodrive exhaust
and cleaned it alot

Its going to A.I this week to have a few go faster bits fitted.
Bigger turbo
550 Injectors
newage intercooler painted black
K&N Panel filter
Walbro 255
NGK PFR 7B's
Then JGM will be mapping it with Alcatec in a few weeks hoping for around 340bhp.

Then its for a full detail and then to get the roof painted to get rid of bird **** burns and just keep it mint from there on. Oh and a 555 number plate to be added

Same as mine, lovely colour when the sun hits it. I thought my 60k was low mileage but this looks a little gem. Your box won't like 340! I would personally keep it more stock. Yes it's a low mileage but it's still an old engine. 300bhp would be plenty on a classic like this, fit a vf28 or a vf35 turbo and walbro 255, cheeky map job done. Wouldn't worry about the 550s your 440s would be ok.

That is a beaut, looks in great nick!

I'd echo the comment about not bothering with the 550s, my 440s are absolutely fine at 325bhp.

Ah well the 550's are in and all so they will do no harm, might be able to squeeze a bit more out of her with the 550's

So there's been a few upgrades since last time, its now running around 340bhp thanks to all the bits i added and JGM mapping the Alcatec. Also got a set of 2008 sti brakes which i refurbished in Ford Polaris grey and new discs and pads, had to add 15mm spacers and longer studs to get the brakes to fit behind the ST2's....it goes and stops really well now

Quick question if I may. I have a type r and also have st2's fitted, to which I am wanting to add 15mm hubcentric spacers. Do you have any problems with tyres catching the arches or is it fine?

Any pics to show how the wheel now sits in the arch and did you fit front and rear brembos?

Cheers,

Wayne.
