Subaru sell them, and the ebay US site is an easy find....

Mine are retro fitted with a H1 HID kit and the output is awesome.

Have you contacted Hella UK, or a local dealer? I did around December last year, when someone on here said the 1000FF was going out of production. I found a dealer via Yell.com the UK's local business search engine - search for United Kingdom businesses, then rang and asked. He rang me back half an hour later to say they WERE available and at what price, around £80 each IIRC.

Someone recently posted drawings of each of four lights, PIAA 80xt, Hella 1000FF, Hella 3000, and a KC one. All looked as if they would fit, all but the 1000FF would apparently use a flat bracket with holes in, (a template for which was ALSO given), the 1000FF needing a lug pointing forwards and down to accomodate the fixing.

I have a cheap (£20) pair of rings I'm considering fitting in place of the fogs.

I have used ring lights before on Jeeps and found them to be pretty reliable and light output is good.

If I fit them and they work I'll probably keep them till they get damaged before I 'upgrade' to a pretty pair.

When you said ring lights, i thought you meant those things photographers use for close up photography.

Ring stuff is OK, why not use it? It has to be better than foglights.

Just seal the lenses to the backs to avoid water ingress. I used to use a strip of electrician's tape, overlap by about half an inch end on end for a good seal.

Hi - haven't been on here for a while as I have been Scoobyless for a while now.

I have a set of FF1000's and lamp covers sitting in the garage that are now on eBay. See http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=250593781644

As I say the lights in good condition (they were on my Bug-Eye STI for 18months) and have the correct fitting to plug into the Subaru loom. I did have the instructions from Prodrive showing how to modify the loom/switch to get them to be isolated but guessing that's on here. All you would need is the brackets which there seems to be plenty of info how to make/buy them on here these days.

If you are interested then let me know via PM or email.
