Default which headlights bulbs only???

What are decent headlight bulbs for a newage?

What does that "H" stand for? i.e.H1 or H4

What is a set of decent bulbs which give a better bright light over the standard bulbs (dont know what the make is of them). Dont want bright white or annoying blue xenon type you get on brand new cars nowadays.

Looking for a decent bulb brand which gives a slightly brighter beam and good distance which is important.

What do people recommend.

Not interested in HID's right now!

Philips Extreme Vision, Osram Nightbreakers, Ring 120% uprated, Halfords Ultra-Brilliance when on BOGOF.

Note that all are "branded" DO NOT buy e-bay specials.

I recently fitted a full set of night breakers to my blob.
TBH they aren't that much better. They are brighter, but for the extra money they cost it's not a huge difference.
My advice would be to have a look at a set fitted and see if you're impressed.

Scoob headlights aren't the greatest, agreed.
The later models with separate dips and main beams are better.

Chet: why discount the Halfords and Ring ones?
Halfords bulbs are made by GE and are of VERY high quality, Ring have been around for years too.

I bought a set of headlight bulbs from halfords last year but they just seem of standard quality. I was checking to see whether there are types/brands which scoobynetters use which are slightly better than standard halfords type. All these manufacturers Phillips, osam, all talk a good show in their advertising that the lights do this and that but it would appear they are no better than your local halfords unless someone recommends otherwise

Be careful: Halfords do several different types, their highly uprated ones are in a gold box, and called Ultra Brilliance.
Only worth it when on BOGOF, mind. Made by GE, very bright and accurately made.
