I know Scoobysport sell a complete Kit for £170.00, but I also have a friend with a set of circa 1992 black Super Oscars that used to live on the lower brackets on my old MK2 Escort for a while. Wiring a relay is not a problem, so....

Are these the same lights (basically shaped like a football) as used in the kit?.
If so has anyone managed to fit them to their car?
What brackets did you need to use?

Or, do you have to use the samller, flatter cibies?

So many questions...

No, they are way too big. The Oscar + is the one.

I wondered if they used the standard brackets as Cibies normally have a ball/socket type afair.

Has anyone fitted the Cibie Kit themselves?.

No, they don't. They use a T shaped Stainless steel bracket that is riveted to the back of the lamp casing and is independent of the Cibie single threaded mounting bolt. You would be best off speaking to ScoobySport, but I don't think you would be able to just buy the brackets.

Hi Hol

No, they are stainless bolted to the casing and have to be assembled in a jig. The original bracketry must also all be removed.

I bought the Oscar Sc kit from scoobymania. They are superb lights and easy to fit.
Cheers
