Default 7 pin tow bar electrics...help

Hi, i need to know how to wire in my 7pin towbar so I can trailer a track motorcycle, I have the instructions from the towbar wire so I know what they are, it's the scooby wires I don't have a clue about.
I'm planning on cutting the towbar electrics plug off in the boot an join it onto there

What is each colour wire for?

Car is 2004 wrx

I know it's easier an safer to buy a scooby plug an play but I refuse to pay over a £100 for one!!!

Thank you for any help an advice

If you could that would be great , they could be the same. I've found on a forester web site listing for that, but even they could be different. This is what I've found

Car R79 pin - Towbar pin/wire
1=side light - 5=brown (right)
2=side light - 7=black (left)
3=brakes - 6=red
4=left ind - 1=yellow
5=right ind - 4=green
6=fog light - 2=blue
7=earth - 3=white

Does this look like yours?

I'll have a look, but don't count on the colours being the same, I've seen cars built six months apart with different wiring colours

Not as easy as I thought: for a start, the socket on the CAR's wiring has 13 holes, not seven, although the PLUG from the towbar only uses 6 of them.

This is what mine is wired like:

First column, wiring colour to towbar, second column, wiring on car.

Green : Pale green/black stripe
Yellow : Black/pale green stripe,
Red : White/black stripe
Brown : Red/yellow stripe, silver spots
Black : As above, there are two wires like that.
White : Black

In addition, there are two wires, afaik for the foglight, they are connected:
Grey : Brown
Blue : White.
They have their own little 2-pin connector.

The best way to do this might be as follows:

Turn the SOCKET as fitted to the car's wiring until the "catch" is on top, now looking IN to it:
The towbar loom plug will go into it using the TOP row of pins, as follows: left to right:
Green, Yellow, Red, Brown, Black, with the WHITE wire being the centre pin on the next row down.

HTH.
