Morrette / Prodrive headlights
I have these headlights fitted to my '52 WRX Wagon and have come to the conclusion that they are feckin' ****e....... The 7" sealed beam units in my '71 Beetle produce more illumination...... Is there anyway of improving their output or should I simply replace them with standard units? If I do swap them out, can I simply swap the adjuster motors from these to the standard units?
Thanks in advance,
IanM

They are fine for MOT's the new MOT rules state if you have auto levelers and headlamp washers they must work!, if they are aftermarket and dont come with these they are fine

As above, but:
1. DO ensure that the lights are PROPERLY aligned first. Don't rely on MoT centres or anyone else to do it for you, there is no substitute for a long, straight, dark road and a half hour of your time.
2. I'd go for 4300K which is the brightest HID available, closest to normal daylight, or 5000K which is next best.
6000K is starting to show blue, so loses out on amount of usable light, (as colour temperature RISES, light output falls).
