Airbag light, help!!

Airbag light, help!!
So out of nowhere the airbag light has come on on dash, will not go away.. Took it to a local Scoob guru today who plugged is diagnostics in to check it out but it wouldn't pick the airbag.. So at a bit of a loose end! Any help or advice on how to solve issue welcomed

Obviously not a very good subaru guru then as the airbag system on the 04 plate uses Blink codes on the dash to identify the fault.
Look under the dash & locate to two green dlc connectors, Now ignore those once found and look at the black plug next to it taped up with two single pins along side.
Now locate these pins in corners diagonal from each other and turn the ignition on, the airbag light should begin to Blink, long blink = 10 short blink = 1
Count the blinks and post up I'll tell you what they signify.
