Ok

So I can get a like-for-like wheel with airbag for £25, fit it in but then is that it?

Will i need to replace / reset any sensors or control modules to make the system active / ready again?

A bodyshop owner said i may have to delete some data, is that legit?? (legal)

It's a 97 GL and I can't remember if it has pretensioners or not so need to check that too...

Don't think it has pre-tensioners.

How did you deploy the airbag? And where are you getting a wheel with bag for £25?

I slipped off the brake on the car park slope and in a desperate panic jabbed the accelerator by mistake, making the impact worse instead of halting it.

Steered into a pillar rather than hit another car on the slope
