Default Bugeye headlight bulbs

Hi Guys

I have a bugeye sti prodrive.

I would like to uprate the bulbs for a nice bright crisp light.

Can anyone tell me what bulbs are fitted to the headlight & also indicators etc.

Also any recomendations.

I would recommend using standard bulbs, not HID.
Good choices are Halfords Ultra-Brilliance 120% uprated, currently on BOGOF, made by GE.
Also you could use Osram Nightbreakers, Philips Ultra-vision and Ring ultra brilliance.

Avoid higher WATTAGE bulbs, and cheap chinese copies: it's the FOCUS of the bulb that is important, and cheap copies have p*ss-poor focus.

Sorry, don't know what bulbs they are though.

DO ensure thaqt they are fitted properly and right way up, or the light will be everywhere

+1 for osram nightbreakers. I used to work for GE lighting.. quality issues when i worked there.

That's sad to hear: their bulbs used to win the Auto Express shootout every year.

Prob just the equipment i had maintained tho!!! we are talking 15yrs ago tho.. factory now rubble and dust.!!Think most of production went eastern europe..

They are made in hungary now, so I believe.

i went for the 120% Halfords ones on BOGOF, they are good.. not as good as HID but they are good.

Does anyone know what type of bulbs are in the prodrive headlight ?

Ring xenon max are highly recommended.

They LOOK like H1's to me.
Can you not take them out to look?

thet are h1 , and i went for the Halfords 120% ones too. Though i think with my Type UK they arent as bright as that with the chrome reflector on the standard Bugeye

Halfords on the right , Cheep 100w Xenon on the left.
