Default Blob headlight bulb...HELP NEEDED!

Passenger headlight not coming off no matter how much I budge it! Embarrassingly took two hours just to get no where! Have looked around archive threads and have seen two where other people have experienced the same issue but unfortunately no remedy has been posted!

Anyone changed one or seen a 'How To Guide' as my MOT is next weekend and really need to fix it!
Much Appreciated

Care to share?

Have heard it's a fair amount of force you need to use to get them out and a lot of persuasion. Need to change my driverside sidelight soon.

Not really that much force needed as long as you undo everything (something I didn`t do the first time)

Yeah so there's the top 2 bolts then the hidden one you can only see when you remove the grill?

It'll feel like when you have taken those three off there is another one but believe me it's just a case of forcing the bugger out! Then you'll see the two locator poppers one plastic the other metal if my memory serves me right. It's those that the force was required for because you don't see them as they are tucked away in the body work!

Yeah Then as above, a bit of wiggling to pop the locating `lugs` out.

Glad I found this thread as tried to remove the headlights on my own blobeye this morning without any joy !!! made the mistake off not realising there was a third bolt, undid this but like others found the unit would just not budge !! gave up and fitted the hid lights withoutremoving the headlamps.

only problem now is that since fitting the 6k hids I am going to have to change the side lights to match.. round 2 !!!

at least I know how to remove the headlamp, easy enough from there on for the side lights ??

Think you have full access to that sidelight compartment once it is removed and it should just be a wedge 501 (W5W) replacement.

Thinking of something like these:-

Think the side light is straight forward, the bulb should unscrew out from what I can remember. Why didn't I take a photo!
