Loud crackling from speaker

Hi there, I keep having a really loud crackling noise from my front drivers door speaker. (1999 classic) Any ideas?

there is no music coming from the speaker anymore and I get the noise whether the stereo is on or off? And, my key can be out of ignition and it still does it?
