Default toggle switches???

ok, ive had a simtek fitted and mapped to my94 sti wagon, and currently the 2 different maps are swapped by a masonic style arrangement of pressing accellerator peddle watching the rev counter and so on, so spoke to mapper today about putting it into a switch inside the car for ease of use, also going to have the anti lag and launch control added at the same time again on a toggle switch.

my question is this, what is the best toggle switches to use for the job, im not to hot on electrical gubbins, so any advice would be great, ive had a look through my trusty demon tweeks catalogue but im confused with all the different types.

thanks in advance

Depends what you want, toggle, Lucas type toggle, (btter quality), or rocker, mini rocker, midi rocker or full sized, with or without warning light?

Have a look here:

Toggles: http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.e...ches/lever.php

Rockers: http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.e...es/modular.php

or even: http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.e...hes/rocker.php

Better range than DT, better service too

cheers for that, im now even more confused!!!! lol

i know it sounds daft, but i quite like the idea of the toggle switches with the red flip covers on like ya see in top gun!!! childish i know but thats what i like, will they do the job i need them to do, as thats the most important thing rather than trying to look like maverick or iceman with a shiney red toggle!!!!

You need to ask your mapper what sort of switch you want:

Straight on/off: virtually any will do. Most are rated at 15A but some only at 5A.
Changeover: NOT so easy to find, the Lucas ones are OK, but the aircraft ones are NOT.
Double, or single pole?
