Help with possible dashboard illumination problem - 07 Hawkeye WRX
Started car up this morning put the lights on and driving down the street noticed that the dashboard lights/illuminated heater controls etc were not on. My first thought was that the fuse must have gone. About 5 mins later when I was on the motorway there was a click and they all came on then went straight off again followed by another clicking noise when they all came on again and they have stayed on fine until I got to work 20 mins later. This has never happened before.
Any ideas (obviously cannot be a blown fuse so possible loose connection somewhere?)
Something that may be related is that on the left indicator stalk there is a 2 position 'BRIGHT' switch that you can turn. According to the manual this either dims or brightens the clock light and dashboard lights, but ever since I have had the car (4 months) it has only ever changed the clock light illumination level when switched and not done anything with the speedo etc. Could the 2 problems be related?
