bugeye headlights

Default bugeye headlights

hi putting ma standard bugeye lights back on as sellin the car. the problem i`ve got is the guy who put the other lights in cut the 3 prong conector for the h4 bulbs i`ve tryed to rewire but i`ve got 4 wires 2 black 1 red 1 blue.i left off 1 black wire but the headlights are dull. can any1 tell me how the 4 wires go onto the 3 conectors. the sooner i sell the car the faster i can get ma sti

i think the standard lights should have 1 live feed and 2 earths one for each beam it sounds like your only using 1 earth as i would have thought both black wires should be connected and lose one of the power feeds

so do you think i should use the 2 blacks an the red.or 2 blacks an the blue

it doesnt matter which colour you use with the 2 blacks as the other 2 should be lives spliced of your original live .As long as you feed the bulb with 1 live and 2 earths all should be good.the only problem you could have is getting the blacks the wrong way round so your beams are back to front but then just swap them
