ignition barrel removal!
ive snapped the key in my ignition so ive tried to remove the barrel from the steering column, when i removed the cowling i discovered that someone had sheared off one of the bolts which holds the barrel on
would it be possible to drill out the old bolt as i dont want to snap the barrell off with a crow bar
also above where the key goes there are two wires which go into a small plastic thingy, what do these wires do as i dont want to just cut them without knowing what they do? if there for that annoying buzzer i will cut them off though

the bolts that you said are sheared are ment to be like that subaru fit snap bolts so you can not just remove the barrell and rob the car the 2 wires are part of the immobliser i think the snap bolts can be removed quite easy as my mercanic removed 2 of mine the outher day when he changed my locks on my car

indeed, a 2nd hand barrel will not come with the shear bolts.
buy new ones, as basically, when you tighten the shear bolt up, the head then, you guessed it, sheaers off LOL
to remove the old already sheared bolts, use a punch or tap and hammer it round, they are not overly tight so its easy enough, just need to get a groove in the metal and tap it round
