Default Converting passenger window to one-touch operation?

On a '98 classic? Can it be done? I can get hold of a switch, but does the switch unit with the 4 window switches in it come to pieces to allow me to put a one touch switch there, and is the one touch mechanism in the switch, or is it a relay?

It FEELS as if it's in the switch.............

TBH, if I was going to ask this question, I would have hoped for a response from YOU.
What with your questions about remote locking, surely this is an imposter on your SNet account.

LOL

It's just that I can't be *rsed to take the switch panel out and apart to find out, if someone has already done it.

Oh well, guess I'll have to bite the bullet.

Unhappy The definitive answer:

OK, the definitive answer is no, it's not straightforward. The switches LOOK as if they are separate, but aren't, they fix to an electronic panel.

It looks as if you MIGHT be able to take THAT apart, but I'm afraid I draw the line at that: putting it back together and having it still work just might be harder than it looks, so I won't be going any further with this idea.

yeh it does come apart, i had mine apart not long ago when my drivers side was sticking, more of an **** to put back together than anything. once youve got it out you can prize the levers off and then seperate the two cases, theres a little spring and ball bearing inside the switch which does'nt want to play ball when your lining them up. thats on a classic. if i get a chance il have a play with a spare switch unit myself and get back to you....put it this way if you had a small chinese child with tweasers as fingers youd be sorted.
