central locking wiring diagram
hi,
can anyone point me in the direction of a central locking circuit diagram for a 98 impreza sport. mine doesnt have remote locking, it just works from the key.
i have bought an aftermarket system which i have used with success on other cars before but the impreza has a system which is strange to me.
im used to finding an actuator in the door to operate the door lock which incorporates other wires to slave the other actuators in the other doors. my impreza just has 2 wires (one white, one black) going into an actuator in the door. there is a voltage over this pair of wires when the door is unlocked but when it is locked the voltage drops off.
i cant understand why there would be a voltage going through the wires apart from when the switch is actuated?
