Default DEFI CONTROL UNIT 2 ILLUMINATION

had my boost gauge and control unit fitted by scoobyworld last week. just wondered if you can get the control unit illumination to stay on. it goes on when ignition is turned on then after a few seconds it goes out. Thanks

It should stay on, yes, but I can't remember if it stays on when the car's lights are on or all the time, and mine is away being repaired as I write.

Check it's connections:

RED: to a permanent live, or straight to battery +ve via a fuse.
ORANGE: to a switched live, live feed to radio is good.
WHITE: to car sidelights
BLACK: to a decent earth.

I wouldn't, nowt against them, but easy mistake to make.

On mine, red goes direct to battery via an inline blade fuse, 5A.
Orange goes to the radio live feed.
White goes to sidelights which I found by probing wires at the switch connector beneath the steering column with the column shrouds off, using a circuit tester with a sharp point.
Black goes to an earthing point I've made under the bonnet which connects direct to the battery -ve.
