Question

Sorry to ask a dumb Q, but I'm new to the site and new to having the best car I've driven. But what is a Dawes. I've read stuff on this site for a few days and know it increases boost but how much, where can I get one, what else do I need AFR etc. Please help me!!!!!!! No mods to the car yet but I am working on that. If anyone replies pease keep it simple as my technocal knowledge is a tad sparse, sod all infact. Thanks for the help.

Marc,
Simply put, it is a manual boost controller, you set it up using your boost gauge (1st mod you need) then leave it alone.

It raises the boost beyond the usual ECU controlled boost but you have to stay below the original ECU limit (or you'll get a headache from head butting the windscreen).

You'll also need an AFR unless you get it set up using a select monitor on a rolling road.

You can get them all from: www.performanceexhausts.net

The usual disclamer: I'am nothing to do with the company and in fact I don't even have a Dawes device YET!!!

Hope this was of some help, even if it was in the wrong fourm

Iain.

Thanks Dyney, I have ordered one from Jamie at performance exhausts and it arrived this morning (ordered yesterday at 2pm) so good service. Got a Dual TT for the boost gauge but no AFR yet so won't be fitting the dawes 'til I've got one. Not too long hopefully.
