does anyone no which one the speed sensor wire going into the ecu is on a v3 type r?

ill tell you whaT i know about subaru speed sensors, as i recently changed mine.

all the veihicle speed sensors (vss) are interchangeable with one another even the old cable types.

there are basically two types of sensor a 3 pin and a 2 pin, its easy enough to check.
