jdm headlights

can someone tell me if you install the jdm headlights with hids in a 2005 wrx is it just a matter of plugging in the original cable to the jdm lights or do you have to alter the wiring ?

Normally have to come up with a joining harness between the car loom and the lights assuming you don't want to cut either.

Is that because the connectors are different shape or because the wiring is slightly different ? any sites with schematic for jdm connections ?
