hello guys, am having a silly problem wid my knock sensor, the engine light came on after fitting down pipe saying knock sensor, i replaced the knock sensor wid a second hand one n still same problem. as soon as i turn the engine on, the engine light comes on n stays on saying knock sensor, i finally bought a new one, still same problem, i reseted the ecu many times, the light stays on n never goes off, could the wire to the knock sensor be broken or unpluged somewhere? anyomne knows where does the wire go to?

Did you go back to your original downpipe and try again? (plus what car/year is it?)

its a 1995 subaru impreza, no mate havent put the oiginal back on

if after resetting ecu the check engine lights comes on immediately after turning engine on then the ecu doesn't see knock sensor at all. seems like a wiring problem for me

yes mate this is wot happens, after resetin ecu, light comes on immeiately as soon as i start it
