Default Uprated bulbs

Hi,

I have just fitted some led sidelight bulbs in my Type R. They are the led tower type and are much brighter however they still gave a blue look to them. I'm not too bothered by this but now want a closer match headlight. Does anyone have any pictures of bulbs such as Osram Nightbreakers or Cool Blue or the Philips bulbs.

I know HID would be the vest way to go but funds don't allow that option at present.

I'm not after a perfect match just something a big closer.

Cheers

Matt

Blue tinted bulbs may well get you the 'look' you're after, but Philips Extreme would probably be the 'best' for light (brightness, focus and beam length). Also, consdier that most aftermarket HID's are illegal under construction and use regulations for road use, unless they have auto-levelling and a washer unit fitted, and you can prove that the headlight was designed for their use (reflector and lens). The 'can' fail MOT's and roadside checks !

Yeah I think they are the bulbs I need. I was originally after a pure white look for sidelights and headlights but they look more blue. I was wondering if I fit crrstal sidelights would this in turn make the sidelights more white as when they are not in the lense the leds are bright white.

I'm not convinced with the HIDs for the MOT reason. It will be bad enough trying to get a decat through the MOT let alone lights as well.

Buy a decent kit HID and you won't have any problems. Of the 100s of kits we have sold, none have failed an MOT.

Do you have the SMD type LED sidelights?
