Default Busted washer reservoir?

Anyone ever had one?

I'm just about to go out and remove mine to see why it keeps dumping all the water in it.

Found it: the connector in the headlight washer pipe was corroded though

New one being sourced, or turned up out of brass.

Now, next question: the washer reservoir is very dirty inside. I have cleaned it with bottle brushes etc as far as I can reach, but there are still layers of muck on some of the walls.

Anyone know a method of cleaning them?

Might give it a try, but I can't see how it can jet the bits that are like on the underside of the top, which I can't get a brush to either.

Wink

Fill with caustic then. Failing that, fuming hydrochloric.

I had to clean mine as it was mouldy. I removed it from the car and gave it a real good clean using bottle brushes and the like and lots of fairy liquid. Came up like new.

That's what I've done, but there are layers of stuff on bits I can't reach, like under the top, and down one side bottle brushes don't reach.

Gonna get the pressure washer out later, hope I don't blow the reservoir into next door's garden, LOL.
