Default battery/alternator

had my alternator changed few month as it was found to be faulty and its a bit noisier than what i had on before. the other day went to start the car and it was completely dead. nothing at all. started it with the jump leads and went for a drive there was no battery light coming on when driving so it cant be the alternator again surely it must be the battey. any advice not really good with these things. cheers

Take it to a car electrics place, and have them check the battery and the alternator output.

It's likely that if the old alternator failed, the battery was put under extra "pressure" and is now failing too.
