Default Side lights

Hi, I noticed the other day I have a side light out, so decided to check the bulb, put it in the other side and it worked fine!!

There is a piece of speaker wire running from one side light to the other!!! The ends are stripped and have been stuffed into the connector.

Sort of bridging the 2, the only reason I can think this has been done, is to send some power from the working light to the none working light (correct?)

What reason could there be that the side light isn't working? All the fuses are ok.

Cheers
Ash

Cheers Dunx I guess I'm going to have to chase the wiring all the way back and check it's all ok.

The connector on the back of the light is cracked I wonder if this could have anything to do with it

Cheers
