Default Defi's not illuminating. White wire?

Folks,

Ive just fitted a new headunit in the RA, which meant I had to wire the Defi's into the stereo wiring.

last night the gauges did'nt illuminate when I turned my headlights on (they worked normally though)

The wires from the Defi controller were red. black, orange and white.....ive wired up the red, black and orange (the defi's worked fine) but where does the white go?

Cheers

Nathan

Take it to either instrument illumination, sidelights, hazard switch illumination, or cig lighter illumination.

A circuit tester will help.

Hi folks,

I'm actually been wiring in my Defi's in this week, when i get a few mins, and can't seem to find a switched live on the stereo. Is there definately one? I'd really rather not have to rip apart the dash again to access the cigarette lighted to access that one.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

James

Yes, there is one, unless your stereo stays on when you switch off the ignition? Unlikely, but I've seen it,

It's usually yellow. at least it is going into the stereo........
