Default Bug HID problems!!

I have a 2002 JDM Sti Wagon, and I have been having headlight problems....

I have just sourced new bulbs (D2S 35w) from subaru at a retail cost of £176 each!! ( although I didnt pay that ) but it has not solved the problem and I still have no drivers side dipped beam light.

It looks as though there may be a wiring problem? has anyone else had this before??

I am tempted to try and find some UK spec sti lights and put them in? they even have some normal bug wrx lights there but they dont look as nice! have even considered morettes?? any opinions would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

try swapping ballasts from one side to the other to rule that out, or even swap the whole headlight to the other side and connect it to the opposite loom, at least you can then see if it is the light or the wiring.

Thumbs up possible answer?

i had a similar but intermittent problem with my HID driving lamps, eventually tracked it down to a faulty relay, once replaced, problem went away

Checked the relays and they are ok.... Going to try swapping the ballasts next week and see if they need replacing...

Thanks for your help!
