Does this look burnt out?



The light that's supplied from it, tries to light then goes out.

 

Swap it over to the other side. If you get the same problem you will need a new ballast.

Doesn't look burnt, it looks like the rusty bit has stained it.
If it had got hot enough to burn through the ballast box it would be MUCH nastier than that.

 

Didn't think of that.

Thankfully, have found the receipt, and the ballast; was told bulbs; are covered by a 15 month warrenty. They've only been fitted for 12.5 months.

I'll swap the ballast's over and see what happens.

 

It's the ballasts 99% of the time

 

Right, cant swap it over to the other side, as the wiring is direct to the bulb.

I tried my lights last night, and the non-working one lit up, but not as bright as the other.

I hate electrical stuff.
