i will give you some advice if its for a classic

get proper bulbs and not LED`s


the sidelights are designed to have a hot bulb inside to help vent any condensation as part of the design, the LED`s do not get hot, and tend to mist up a lot more.

these ones are the same as what i fitted to my car, they get hot as required and still match the funky white LED colour

VW GOLF MK5 501 W5W CAR SIDELIGHT XENON BULBS on eBay, also Bulbs Lenses, Lights Lighting Accessories, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 09-Sep-08 18:23:35 BST)

Unfortunately yes the headlamps do have to come out, there is no other way and i have tried

thanks guys its a MY03..

I have to take the lights out to De-Tango...but the last time i tried and failed and ended up installing the HID's with the lights in..

Will give it another go this evening..

Howdo,

I'm a bit of a nonce when it comes to headlights/sidelights but is it the 501-W5W that would be needed for a Hawkeye?

Decent price and fancy getting these if they're the right type.
