Default Philips Silver Vision Vs Silvatec

I have a set of Silvatec chrome/orange bulbs in all 4 corners and have been told that the Philips Silvervision Bulbs are better cos they are brighter, especially in bright sunshine. Philips Silver Vision WY21W from Power Bulbs

Is there really that much of a difference between the two?

The Philips bulbs do have a BS or EN number so are road legal whereas the Sivatec don't.

Anyone have any experience?

The silvertec bulbs I had in my Fiesta got me a pull of the fuzz for being too dim (just got told to change them asap, phew!) My mate bought the philips version and they are a LOT brighter. I replaced mine with osram diadems (like in my scoob) (blue when off) and binned the silvertec ones You pays your money........

Massive difference, Silvervision will be as bright if not brighter than your original bulbs.

Replace one of your original bulbs and compare it against your Silvertec in the other unit, if the Silvertec is much dimmer then you know the Silvervision will be worth buying.

The Silvertec's are dangerous IMHO. I had them when I first detango'd, but within a few weeks I'd changed to LED's as I had no end of horns beeped and near misses as people didn't see me indicating. I have the Philips ones in my current car and they are fine.
