Default twin projector headlights

heres a couple of pics of my latest project - converting the standard blobeye headlight into a twin projector one.

the dipped beam projectors are from a bmw z4 & the main beam from an audi a3.

the hardest part was measuring the existing reflector to get the centres of the projectors, and the centres of the adjusting ball joints.

its still in the early stages, i think i.m on version 4 of the mounting plate, but its getting there. still got the shrouds to sort out and the front reflector to modify.

any comments or tips appreciated.

Forgive me but why are you doing this? Not criticising just genuinely interested in your thinking. I thought the benefit of projector lenses was to have decentish lights without having big reflectors. The scooby already has big reflectors so what's the benefit of adding projectors?

Are you anticipating more light? Better beam pattern? More nearly legal HID's? A unique car? Or something else?

Looks like a tidy job whatever the reasoning behind it so fair play. When it's done let us know if it works.

doing it for the same reason as someone who wants more bhp or changes their suspension set up or fits in in dash dvd player - its a challenge!

nothing like a challenge to keep the brain cells ticking over.

Fair enough.

That's a bit different. The classic is renowned for carp lights, presumably due to badly designed lenses and small refelctors. I can see how a projector would be a big improvement there.

Will be interesting to see results on the blobeye. Keep up the good work.
