HID kit not working
whats to check?
iv installed it as per instructions?
i was thinking bad earths, but both are eathed at already existings earthing points in the bay, is it crucial passenger side one is earther to battery negative? its currently where the old earth was, just above the lamp.
why cant things just work

Got a multimeter? Or a circuit tester?
Check earth continuity if you have, if not, just rig an earth to battery -ve and see if it makes a difference.
Check the relay, (I assume there IS a relay?) And the fuse, (I assume there IS a fuse?) Check the relay earth, (terminal 86 or 85).
Check that the relay clicks when you switch the lights on. Check that power is REACHING the relay at terminal 30 from the battery +ve and coming OUT of the relay towards the ballasts at terminal 87.
Check that 12V is reaching the ballasts.
DO be careful with ballasts, they can give a very nasty shock
